Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is set to marry his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, in a lavish Aspen, Colorado wedding, Daily Mail reported. The wedding is estimated to cost a staggering $600 million. Since May 2023, the couple has been engaged and they have chosen Matsuhisa, a posh and upscale sushi restaurant, as the venue for their wedding celebration. The couple will celebrate their special day with a winter wonderland-themed wedding, complete with festive decor, twinkling lights, and holiday charm, the New York Post reported.
An elite guest list of around 180 people
The sushi restaurant, which will host the wedding, has been reserved exclusively from December 26 to 27. It will treat an elite guest list of around 180 people to a luxurious dining experience. The guest list includes names like Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Queen Rania of Jordan. The couple’s wedding is reportedly scheduled for December 28 at Kevin Costner’s Dunbar Ranch in Aspen. An insider indicated that the wedding and other related celebrations will cost the couple a staggering $600 million.
Even though the couple has not officially confirmed the details, sources close to them said that they arrived in Aspen over the weekend to make preparations for their wedding. To host their guests, several luxury hotels and private mansions in the area have been reserved.
Wedding planners in Aspen said that Bezos and Sanchez are leaving no stone unturned to make their high-profile wedding an unforgettable and memorable event. Sarah Rose Attman, an Aspen wedding planner, has reportedly said that the wedding will be a highly customised and luxurious event.
The couple started dating in 2018 and got engaged last year when the Amazon founder proposed aboard his $500 million superyacht. On July 14, 2019, they went public with their relationship, after Bezos’ divorce from his first wife, MacKenzie Scott.
