New Delhi: Australian social media influencer and reality TV personality Vanessa Mariposa was rushed to the hospital after her drink was allegedly spiked and she was robbed at a rooftop party in Spain’s Mallorca.
She narrated the horrifying incident in an Instagram post. She informed that doctors confirmed someone had spiked her drinks with date rape drugs. Mariposa also alleged that she was robbed during the incident with her Cartier bracelet missing and the SIM card missing from her phone.
Mariposa, a 32-year-old influencer and a celebrity of sorts, said, “I want to share something serious with you, something that happened to me recently and that every woman needs to hear.” In the post, she recounted that last weekend, she went to the party with her friend and was there for around three hours. They had three glasses of wine respectively and their drinks were with them the whole time. Suddenly, they felt very sick and experienced symptoms like immobility, memory loss, and vomiting.
Mariposa said, “I couldn’t walk properly, I threw up multiple times, and I COMPLETELY blacked out – I lost all memory of the night. That’s when I knew something was really wrong.” She added that people did it had planned something which was even worse. She alleged, “I’m convinced the people who did this had far worse intentions.. otherwise, they wouldn’t have drugged us or taken steps to stop us from calling for help.”
She added that her partner, Luca, and his friend noticed something was wrong and brought them home safely. Mariposa shot to fame after her participation in the Germany’s Next Top Model’s third season in 2008.
She has around 800,000 followers on Instagram and was last seen in ‘The 50’, an Amazon Prime Video show.
