Kolkata: According to reports, US President Donald Trump has said that both Iran and Israel violated ceasefire as hours after he brokered truce, both sides fired missiles at each other. He reportedly said it before attending the NATO summit in the Netherlands.

Also, Trump took to social media and wrote, “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.”

Earlier, the US President announced a “complete and total” ceasefire between the two nations through a post on Truth Social. He lauded both countries for their “stamina, courage, and intelligence” in opting for diplomacy.

Also, Trump stated that Iran had warned in advance of the missile attack on Doha which ensured zero loss of life. The announcement of ceasefire brought a twelve-day war to a halt. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the ceasefire agreement.

The Israeli PM said in a statement, “The citizens of Israel must continue to adhere to IDF Home Front Command directives until the full observance of the ceasefire has been verified. Our hearts are with the families that have lost loved ones, and we send our best wishes for a full recovery to those who have been wounded.” It also added that “In Operation Rising Lion, the State of Israel made great historic achievements and placed itself in the first rank of the world’s major powers”.

Meanwhile, at first, Iran denied they had accepted ceasefire before taking a U-turn on the issue. Iranian foreign minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi first stated on X, “no agreement as of now.” But later, he posted, “The military operations of our powerful Armed Forces to punish Israel for its aggression continued until the very last minute, at 4am. Together with all Iranians, I thank our brave Armed Forces who remain ready to defend our dear country until their last drop of blood, and who responded to any attack by the enemy until the very last minute.”
