The inauguration ceremony will occur inside the US Capitol building’s rotunda, with many dignitaries attending. Among the distinguished guests are representatives from various nations, including India’s external affairs minister, S Jaishankar. Also present will be Chinese vice president Han Zheng, along with delegates from the UK and Germany.
All living former US presidents—Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama—will also attend the ceremony to witness Trump taking the oath of office.
On the eve of his inauguration, Trump held a pre-inauguration rally at Washington’s Capital One Arena. During the event, he reiterated his “Make America Great Again” slogan and outlined his plans for swift action on immigration, resolving the Ukraine conflict and addressing instability in the Middle East.
