Elon Musk deletes anti-Trump post on Epstein Files, hints at possible truce

Washington: Tesla CEO Elon Musk deleted his post on X that claimed Trump was involved in the Epstein files. The common people are assuming it is a step towards mending broken ties with US President Donald Trump. Architect of the DOGE checks initiative, James Fishback, praised Musk after he deleted the controversial post from X. He had previously criticized Musk for his anti-Trump posts.

DOGE architect Fishback demands public apology from Musk

Highlighting Musk’s old post on X, Fishback told Musk to publicly apologise to Trump for his past wrongdoings. He said, “Elon has deleted his slanderous tweets about the President of the United States. Good. First step. Next up: full-throated apology to Trump and his family.” He added, “Keep tweeting about your new political party and Japanese fertility rates all you want. You owe President Trump a full-throated apology, and every hour you delay will make an eventual apology less sincere. You can substantively disagree with the President on policy, but you should not have baselessly and personally attacked him.”

The political squabble between the two took place earlier this week. Musk claimed that the 2024 US election was won by Trump due to his efforts and referred to Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” as a “disgusting abomination.”

Trump responded from the Oval Office, “Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore.” The President even added that the best way to save money in the budget is by taking away all of Musk’s government subsidies and contracts.

Musk accused Trump of “ingratitude.”

Reactions of netizens

Reacting to the sudden deletion of posts by Musk, X users expressed their curiosity in the most unique ways. One said, “I’m afraid if Elon is deleted as well.” Another user tweeted, “I would probably say all the corporate lawyers got together and slapped the shit out of the little autistic boy and told him to take it down before he gets sued into oblivion.”

A netizen commented, “Elon Musk allowed emotions to take over and it will be very costly for him, but he is a smart man. He will have to figure out how to get himself out of this mess.”
