Former Indian Minister for Commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu joins Bloomberg’s new Economy Advisory Board

New York: Former Indian Minister for Commerce and Industry, Suresh Prabhu, has been named to the newly announced Bloomberg New Economy Advisory Board. The board will be co-chaired by Gina Raimondo, former US Commerce Secretary, and Mario Draghi, former Italian Prime Minister and President of the European Central Bank.

Founded in 2018, Bloomberg New Economy is a worldwide community of multinational CEOs, public officials, innovators and financiers. With gatherings held in Singapore, Beijing, Panama City, Dublin, Marrakesh and Sao Paulo, and through its Coalitions and Catalyst program, Bloomberg New Economy has fostered global collaboration and mobilized capital for the public good. 

Both co-chairs have decades of experience bridging the public and private sectors. Raimondo, an entrepreneur, lawyer and venture capitalist, was also governor of Rhode Island. And Draghi, an economist by training, has been an investment banker and university professor in addition to his roles in government and at multilateral institutions.

The 2025 New Economy Forum’s Founding Partners currently include Envision, HSBC, and Tata Sons. PwC is a Presenting Partner. Singapore returns as the Host Country Partner. Additional partners and Advisory Board members will be announced in the coming months.
