New Delhi: United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday expressed concerns over the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. He called for maximum restraint and asked both countries to step back from the brink.

Although Guterres condemned the deadly Pahalgam terror attack which claimed the lives of 26 people, he opposed the move of military attack.

“Make no mistake: A military solution is no solution,” Guterres said in a brief statement.
