Tel Aviv: Sirens rang out across northern Israel as Iran fired another wave of ballistic missiles aimed at the country’s densely populated areas. Tehran said the attack was in retaliation for Israel’s continued strikes across Iranian territory, which have caused significant damage.
The Israel Defence Forces confirmed the missile launches on its Telegram channel, stating, “A short while ago, the IDF identified missiles launched from Iran towards the territory of the State of Israel. Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat.”
They also issued instructions to the public: “Upon receiving an alert, the public is instructed to enter a protected space and remain there until further notice. Leaving the protected space is only permitted following an explicit directive. Continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command.”
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that killing Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would bring an end to the ongoing conflict. His comment came just a day after former US President Donald Trump reportedly vetoed the plan.
