New Delhi: Iran on Sunday launched fresh strikes on Israel, hours after the US joined the war between the 2 countries. Soon after US bombers targeted 3 nuclear facilities in Iran, the country retaliated with strikes on Israeli territory. Israel had already warned its citizens to be prepared for attacks from Iran.
Israel military warns of airstrikes
Following the attacks, the Israeli Defence Forces warned people of more attacks by Iran. They wrote on social media platform, ‘X’, “Sirens were sounding across Israel due to another Iranian missile launch.”

Iran and Israel have been at loggerheads with each other since last Friday. The war started after the Israeli military launched “Operation Rising Lion” and attacked Iranian cities. They claimed that Iran was on the verge of making nuclear weapons. According to Israel, it was attacking the country to defend itself and other countries against Iran’s aggressive posturing, which would be boosted by nuclear capability, which the country wanted to acquire.
On Sunday morning, the US entered the conflict, bombing 3 key nuclear facilities in Iran. The Iranian regime has vowed revenge on the US. While US President Donald Trump talking about the attack on Iran said that the country had a choice between “peace or tragedy”. But, US cities are now on high alert, following the warning issued by Iran.
