Quetta: In a major revelation, Baloch American Congress Secretary General Razzak Baloch has claimed that the Pakistani military is unable to enter nearly 70 to 80 percent of Balochistan. He also urged the international community including India and the United States to support the Baloch movement.

Talking to TAG TV, a Canada-based news channel, he spoke on the current situation in Balochistan. “Pakistani forces cannot even leave Quetta after dark,” news agency ANI quoted him as saying. Claiming that even some members of the Pakistan National Assembly have admitted to this, he added “From 5 pm to 5 am, roads are deserted by the army out of fear.”

‘Foreign support critical to dismantle Pakistani military strongholds’

Adding further, he noted that foreign support is critical to dismantling Pakistani military strongholds in areas like Quetta and Chowni. Razzak further warned that a delay in supporting the Baloch movement might strengthen the Pakistani army, which will see repercussions in the entire region. He also urged the world community recognise the struggle for self-determination.

“Before Pakistan’s army leaves its boots behind like in Bangladesh, it is better to withdraw with dignity”, he added further. During the interview, Razzak urged peace, regional harmony, and an end to oppression across provinces in Pakistan.

Earlier on May 14, Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch had declared Balochistan’s independence from Pakistan. He had also also urged Indian media, YouTubers, and intellectuals, not to call Balochs “Pakistan’s own people”. He also extended full support for India’s stand on Pakistan-occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK). Baloch had also urged the world community to pressurise Pakistan to leave Balochistan.

“Tum Maroge Hum Neklengy, Hum Nasal Bachany Nekly Hain, Aao Hamara Sath Do. Baloch people across Pakistan-occupied Balochistan are up on the streets, and this is their national verdict: that Balochistan is not Pakistan, and the world can’t be a silent spectator anymore,” he wrote on X.
