Washington: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived for a two-day visit to engage in high-stakes discussions with President Donald Trump amid concerns in New Delhi regarding Washington’s “America First” trade agenda and immigration policy.
During the visit, the US President will host Modi on Thursday for their first bilateral talks since Trump began his second term last month.
“Landed in Washington DC a short while ago. Looking forward to meeting @POTUS Donald Trump and building upon the India-USA Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. Our nations will keep working closely for the benefit of our people and for a better future for our planet. @realDonaldTrump,” Modi posted on X along with pictures.
