New Delhi: US President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday to condemn the terror attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam. He expressed his deepest condolences and showed complete support to India to bring justice for victims and punish the perpetrators behind the ‘heinous attack’.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that President Trump conveyed his condolence on the brutal act, where innocent lives were lost.

According to the sources in Government of India, PM Modi thanked Trump for his support and said India is determined to take strict action to perpetrators for their cowardice act.
“President Trump “strongly condemned the terror attack and expressed full support to India to bring to justice the perpetrators of this heinous attack. India and the United States stand together in the fight against terror,” Jaiswal said.
Trump also called the killings in Kashmir as a disturbing news on his own X account and promised to stand with India in the fight against terrorism.
“Deeply disturbing news out of Kashmir. The United States stands strong with India against Terrorism. We pray for the souls of those lost, and for the recovery of the injured,” Trump posted on X from the handle @realDonaldTrump.
“Prime Minister Modi, and the incredible people of India, have our full support and deepest sympathies. Our hearts are with you all,” the post added.
Terrorists opened fire at a popular tourist place near Pahalgam town on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in deaths of 26 people, most of them were there to spend holidays in the Valley.
Modi had to cut short his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia to return to New Delhi on Tuesday night after the whole country was shocked by the terror attack. Modi’s original return was planned on Wednesday night (April 23).
