Republican Senator John Barrasso went so far to say that there will be a blizzard of executive orders. Trump is also expected to roll back the Biden administration’s policies on clean energy and civil rights protection.

Who is likely to be on Trump’s radar?

First, Trump plans to take on illegal immigrants. According to Senator James Lankford, President Trump might focus on the 1 million migrants who recently entered the country.

Next, those who have been convicted of crimes or those deemed as ineligible to stay in the US will also be in his cross-hairs.

Some Senators also expect Trump to resume his first term policy measures.

Which first-term policies is Trump likely to bring back?

Most measures relate to the US- Mexico border. Especially those requiring migrants to apply in other countries or remain in Mexico, while their claims are being processed. These also include massive enforcement actions to deport those currently in the U.S. without legal authority.

How will Trump’s policies help him in his second term?

Last summer, Trump successfully asked the Supreme Court to award sitting presidents immunity from criminal prosecution. This along with his executive orders will grant him more powers.

According to Republican Senators, Trump does not mind how many executive orders are needed, he expects results.
