Kolkata: In a disturbing incident, a two-year-old Iranian boy is in a coma after a man reportedly picked him up all of a sudden and slammed him to the floor in the arrivals hall of a Moscow airport. The boy has suffered serious skull fractures and spinal injuries and is fighting for his life in a coma. The attacker has been identified as Vladimir Vitkov. He is a 31-year-old man from Belarus.

According to reports, the boy and his mother fled Iran when it was embroiled in war with Israel and arrived in Russia. In a viral video, it can be seen the young boy was minding his own business and was clutching his trolley bag handle at the airport.

The Iranian Embassy in India has reportedly said, “A traveller at the Moscow airport confronted an Iranian child, whose family left due to the Israeli aggression and brutally assaulted him. The child is in a coma and has serious injuries.”

The gravely injured boy was picked up by another man. At the time of the attack, the pregnant mother of the boy was collecting his pushchair after their flight arrived at Sheremetyevo airport.
