The American journalist Daniel Pearl, who was Jewish by faith, was kidnapped and beheaded in Pakistan in 2002 by terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed on whose camps Indian armed forces conducted strikes on Wednesday killing at least 100 terrorists.
The Indian strikes came following the killing of 26 tourists in Baisaran meadows in Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.
Before his death, Daniel Pearl used to work as South Asia bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal. Pearl was kidnapped and beheaded in Pakistan by terror groups as he probed terrorist nexus in Karachi.
