The Indian American entrepreneur and venture capitalist Sriram Krishnan has been appointed as Senior White House Policy Advisor on Artificial Intelligence by the President-elect Donald Trump.
Sriram Krishnan has previously worked for Twitter, Microsoft, Yahoo, Facebook and Snap. Trump said in a statement that Sriram Krishnan will closely work David O Sacks, who will be White House AI & Crypto Czar, and ensure focus on ensuring American leadership in Artificial Intelligence.
Meanwhile, Krishnan said he is honored to serve the country and ensure American leadership in AI. The Indian American community has welcomed the appointment of Sriram Krishnan.

- Sriram Krishnan began his career from Microsoft as the founding member of Windows Azure.
- It is said that Krishnan has a good working relationship with billionaire and space X CEO Elon Musk.

- In February 2021, Krishnan was appointed a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).
