Washington DC: Days after a Black Hawk chopper crashed with an American Airlines flight killing over 60 people, the US Army has revealed the name of the pilot, who was one of the three army soldiers who died in the tragic incident.
The US administration had earlier informed that all 67 passengers on board had died after the deadly crash. They also collected bodies and damaged particles of aircraft and choppers from the site after the accident, which sent shockwaves across the US and the rest of the world.
An Army, Aviation officer, Lobach joined the army in July 2019. She was also recognised for her services and was honoured with Army Achievement Medal. A certified pilot in command, she amassed more than 450 flight hours.
Lobach’s family members release statement
Releasing a statement, her family members expressed their pride over her achievements and her dedication to serving the US. She was also a military graduate from the University of North Carolina’s ROTC programme, Her family said that she aspired to become a physician after her service.

“We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Rebecca. She was a bright star in all our lives. She was kind, generous, brilliant, funny, ambitious and strong. No one dreamed bigger or worked harder to achieve her goals,” the statement said, adding, “We request that you please respect our privacy as we grieve this devastating loss.”
It added, “Rebecca was a warrior and would not hesitate to defend her country in battle. But she was as graceful as she was fierce: in addition to her duties as an Army aviator, Rebecca was honored to serve as a White House Military Social Aide, volunteering to support the President and First Lady in hosting countless White House events, including ceremonies awarding the Medal of Honor and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.”
