Washington: Donald Trump, who is all set to take oath as the next US President in a few hours, broke into dance during his last rally before assuming the office. The President-Elect made his famous dance moves while to ‘YMCA’, a song that became a part of the Republican leader’s campaign during Presidential polls.

The song which was released in 1978, was revived by the band Village People on stage during Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again rally at the Capitol One Arena. While the band members started dancing and mimicking the iconic song, Trump too joined them and made his famous dance moves. He also shook hands with band members as the audience cheered them on.

Apart from the Village People, other musicians like Lee Greenwood and Kid Rock also performed at the rally. Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who supported Trump during the rally also addressed the audience.

Several dignitaries to attend Trump’s swearing-in

Donald Trump is set to take oath at the Capitol Hill in Washington 1t around 10:30 pm (IST) on Monday. A host of dignitaries including President Joe Biden, Former Presidents Bill Clinton, and George Bush (Junior) are expected to be present at the event along with their spouses. While several dignitaries have also been invited from abroad, India will be represented by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

The viewers can watch the event live on the YouTube channel, and other news websites in India and abroad. Updates can also be checked at www.news9live.com. The White House will broadcast the ceremony live on its official website https://www.whitehouse.gov/ as well as on various social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and X. Before Trump’s swearing-in, Vice President-elect JD Vance will take the oath of office.
